Genealogical Research

We’ve all wondered “where do I come from?” at some point in our lives. As adults, parts of our self-identity derives from who those who came before us, paved the way for today’s opportunities, and even some of the traditions we still carry. For most of us, stories of our ancestry and heritage have been passed down by parents and grandparents, often fragmented pieces of selected memories.

What happens to the stories our relatives don’t remember? The stories that have been lost to generations of time or set to paper for documentation, only to be forgotten in a dusty archive or library?

This is where I can help you.

Since each of us have different questions, the packages offered below differ based on your research goals and questions.

My billing rate is $25 per hour of research. While packages may differ, the billing rate will remain the same for all types of research.

* If your research goal is not captured by one of the packages above, please let me know.

Preservation vs. Conservation: What’s the Difference?

Preservation refers to the set of activities that aims to prolong the life of a record or object or improve access to it through non-interventive means.

Conservation refers to the treatment and repair of individual items to slow decay or restore them to a usable state.
