Hi! I am Brianne. A proud 5th generation California. I’ve been researching and compiling my own family history for almost two decades, starting when I was about 16 years old with my great-aunt. I have a bachelors degree in History and a masters degree in Museum Studies with emphasis on Collections Management and Registration.Together, these two fields have led me down the path that intersects history, genealogy, and preservation concepts. My goal is to make Distant Roots an available resource for those wishing to bridge the gaps in their family histories and to provide options and resources to keep your ancestral stories and treasures around for generations to come.
